Yak Heart has an intense red meat flavor, and is very high in iron and B vitamins, as well as CoQ10 and other important vitamins, minerals and coenzymes. Delicious marinated and grilled, but also braises well & can even be used in a tartare.
Many of our customers who enjoy our Bison also love our Yak! Please be aware that Yak is less standardized than our Beef & Bison, meaning there will can be significant variation in size, marbling, etc. batch to batch, but it's always delicious!
With more protein and about the same amount of fat per serving as Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, this is a great way to add nutrient-dense, leaner red meat to your weekly rotation without an increase in calories or fat.
