Shipping policy

Buy Ranch Direct offers several different options for picking up your order; Shipping (via FedEx/UPS), Local Delivery (via BRD Delivery) or Free Pickup. 

For Shipping Orders:

BUY RANCH DIRECT DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON. For instances of defective products and/or deliveries arriving outside of the delivery window due to the fault of Buy Ranch Direct, a store credit may be issued solely at the discretion of Buy Ranch Direct but is not guaranteed*. In order to ensure prompt resolution of any claims, photo/video evidence is greatly encouraged.

PLEASE BUY SHIPPING INSURANCE FOR ALL FEDEX/UPS SHIPPING ORDERS!!! It costs a small percentage of your orders value, and fully covers your package against loss, damage, theft, etc. To purchase, simply turn on Route Order Protection during the checkout process; your insurance charge is applied as part of your order and your package is then fully insured!

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FEDEX & UPS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR DELAYS AROUND THE HOLIDAY SEASON; PLEASE purchase the Route Package Protection we've made available for your orders on the Shipping Method Details page at checkout. If you decline to purchase insurance, we will be unable to offer you compensation of any kind if your order is lost, delayed or damaged, NO EXCEPTIONS.

All claims must be filed within 72 hours of receipt. We are unable to offer compensation of any kind resulting from errors made by the customer when entering shipping or other information. 

* Please note: We are not responsible for issues caused by the carrier of your choosing; by purchasing from us and choosing to have your order shipped, you understand that we are not responsible for any packages once they have left our warehouse facility. For example, if your order is not delivered, lost in transit, is damaged due to rough handling, experiences delays in transit, arrives melted due to transportation practices, or is stolen after delivery, these are things outside of the control and responsibility of Buy Ranch Direct and must be taken up directly with the carrier. We are happy to provide supporting documentation or other information to support your claim, but will not be able to file the claim on your behalf. 

We ship Express Orders only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure your order is not held in a FedEx/UPS hub over the weekend; Ground Orders are typically only shipped on Mondays or Tuesdays for the same reason, but if  conditions are optimal we may ship Ground Orders on Wednesdays as well at our discretion.

Buy Ranch Direct is currently experiencing a 0-3 business day delay in processing incoming orders; this is subject to change at any time and without notice due to factors outside our control. This delay is irrespective of the shipping class you chose, which allows you to select the speed at which you receive your items once they have been fulfilled. For example, if you order via Overnight Shipping on a Wednesday, your order may not ship until Monday, and may not arrive until Tuesday.

Orders are shipped in heavy-duty Styrofoam containers (industrially recyclable, click here for your nearby EPS recycler) with re-usable gel packs and/or dry-ice replacement sheets to maintain a safe temperature in transit. 

Buy Ranch Direct is not responsible for errors made by customers when entering shipping information, so please be sure to double check that all fields are filled in correctly prior to completing your payment. 

Buy Ranch Direct is unable to offer refunds of any kind as a result of damage or delays caused by FedEx, or any other carrier you choose. Claims will need to be filed with the carrier directly in the event an issue arises. We highly recommend purchasing the available shipping insurance to safeguard your order, and will be unable to offer a refund, credit or re-shipment of any kind if you choose not to purchase the available shipping insurance. 

To fulfill your order in the most expeditious manner possible, or in an effort to combat carrier or weather-related damage or delays, Buy Ranch Direct reserves the right to change your shipping method from "Shipping" to "Local Delivery" at our discretion if you live within our "Local Delivery" service area. Your order will leave our facility on or before the day it was scheduled to arrive, meaning you will receive your order on-time or potentially even early, all while riding in a refrigerated, temperature controlled van for optimum product quality. For Local Delivery Orders:

Please be sure that you will be home on your selected day of delivery, or make arrangements to have someone receive the package for you. If you require any special delivery instructions, please include them in the "Notes" section of your order. You will receive information from your delivery driver with an updated ETA when your order is approximately 30-60 minutes away, as well as a phone call on arrival. 

Please be sure to have your phone nearby on your delivery date so the delivery driver can communicate with you easily and ensure there are no delays to your delivery. 

Please place your order immediately in the freezer upon receipt; we are not responsible for melted orders; as they leave our delivery vehicles frozen, it is your responsibility to ensure your items are placed back in the fridge or freezer as quickly as possible to ensure your items stay safe and in top quality. 

For Free Pickup Orders:

We do our absolute best to ensure all orders placed are at their scheduled market locations for pickup on the day requested. You will receive an email confirmation when your order has been loaded on the truck and is ready for pickup, typically on Friday each week; please feel free to email info@buyranchdirect.com to check the status of your order (please wait until Fridays to reach out). In the event that your order is not ready when it's supposed to be, please contact us via email at info@buyranchdirect.com, we will arrange to have your order picked up the following weekend or included in our local delivery route at our discretion.
