10 Simple Meals to Make With Ground Beef

Ground beef is your secret ingredient to make quick, delicious and nutritious meals! It’s always a good idea to have a few packs of ground beef hidden in your freezer. For those days when you're not in the mood to cook, we’re sharing our go-to ground beef recipes and most come together in 30 minutes. Now these aren’t your traditional recipes with measurements but more of a guideline to create your perfect meal with the ingredients you have on hand. Make sure to taste and adjust seasoning as you’re cooking.

Meal Prep Variation: These are quick recipes that can be used with any of your favorite ground meat! Try mixing it up weekly by using ground turkey, ground chicken, ground bison or our unique organ boost or blends. The possibilities are endless!

  1. Meatballs: Combine ground beef with grated garlic, diced onions, egg, bread crumbs, parsley, paprika and salt. Shape into 1-inch balls and bake at 350F for 18-22 minutes or until fully cooked.
  2. Thai Style Lettuce Wraps: Sauté ground beef, until browned. Then add lime juice, fish sauce, sliced green onions and chopped cilantro. Top on lettuce with rice and toasted peanuts.
  3. Quick Pasta Sauce: In a skillet, heat tallow and add chopped onions, mushrooms, garlic, cumin, ground pepper and salt. Cook until fragrant and then push the veggies to the side. Add in ground beef and sauté until browned. Stir in canned tomatoes and some bone broth. Simmer until thickened. Serve over pasta or zucchini noodles.
  4. Sloppy Joes: Heat tallow in a skillet and sauté ground beef, until browned. Add sloppy joe spice mix*, 1 can tomato sauce, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar and if needed 1/4 cup bone broth or water. Stir and let simmer for 10 minutes or until thickened. *Sloppy joe spice mix: 1 tbsp onion powder, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp sugar (optional), 1/4 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp kosher salt & 1 tsp black pepper.
  5. Simple Broccoli Beef: In a bowl, mix coconut aminos, ground or grated ginger, garlic powder, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil and sriracha. Sauté ground beef in a skillet and cook until crumbled. Add chopped broccoli florets and sauce mixture. Simmer until broccoli is tender. Serve over rice or greens
  6. Meatloaf: In a bowl, mix 2 lbs ground beef, bread crumbs, 2 eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, diced carrots and diced onions. Press into a greased or parchment paper lined loaf pan and bake at 350F for about 50 to 60 minutes or until fully cooked. Halfway through, add ketchup on top and finish cooking. Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing!
  7. Taco Bowl: In a skillet, heat tallow and add ground beef. Cook until browned and then stir in chili powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook until fragrant and mix in chopped cilantro. Serve with a layer of rice, taco meat, beans and greens, along with your favorite toppings.
  8. Quick One Pot Chili: In a skillet, add oil, diced onions and red bell peppers, until softened. Then add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in bone broth, cooked beans, tomato paste, salt, chili powder, garlic, cumin and cayenne. Cover and let cook. Uncover, add crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce, and cook, until chili has thickened. Serve with cornbread.
  9. Stovetop Burgers: Mix ground beef with shredded onions, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and ground pepper. Form into patties. Heat skillet with oil and cook until burgers have a nice sear on each side. Serve on a bun, lettuce wrap or salad.
  10. Ground Beef & Veggie Skillet: In a skillet add oil, any seasonal veggies (cauliflower, sweet potato, onions, kale, bell peppers) and cook until softened. Push veggies to one side and add ground beef. Cook until browned. Sprinkle with any of your favorite dried herbs and spices. Enjoy a bowlful or serve on rice!
